Finally a break from warmer weather!
Living in Tucson, it is not uncommon to have 100 degree days for months on end. The environment here is very hot and dry. So whenever the later months in the year come around, the heat can stick around all the way up through November/December -- we had 80 degree days just last week! But since the weather is bipolar here, it switched from 80 and sunny to 50's and rainy. And actually, Monday evening was forecasted as having a chance of snow here. That doesn't show here, but the weather people often get it wrong, so I'm still holding out hope. It is snowing on Mount Lemmon this weekend, so if I REALLY want to see some snow all I have to do is drive 40 minutes and BAM -- winter wonderland!
Woke up this morning in a fantastic mood. It's Saturday, Derek is off, and we laid in bed talking and being lazy for almost an hour before we got up and brewed some coffee in our new coffee maker. And he picked up some peppermint mocha creamer to go with it. MMM. I really, REALLY love this time of year!
Today I plan on organizing files on my laptop, working on some photography tutorials, and just being a big and lazy bum overall. My sister lent me a book, "John Dies at the End," which I may start later today as well. I just wish weekends would last forever. :)
